These characters may be masterminds, manipulators, or monsters, but they're rarely as simple as one-dimensional, predictable villains. Today's TV crime figures are layered, charismatic, and often just as captivating as the heroes who chase them, becoming our favorites without us even realizing.

These characters continually challenge our ideas of morality and justice, making us question our own sense of what's right and wrong. They're the reason we binge entire seasons, argue over finales, and keep coming back for more. That's why we compiled a list of some of the most unforgettable criminal masterminds in television history.
