These districts are at the top in their respective states for cost of living and niceness. Many are nestled inside major cities, like Dallas, Texas, which grew up around its historic district.

We chose them based on five-year home value data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2022 American Community Survey and the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
