This Legendary Conqueror Captured 4.9 Million Square Miles of Land

Throughout history, powerful leaders have shaped the world, often through conquest and violence. When a conqueror would acquire large amounts of land, and the people within them, empires were built and cultures were changed. 24/7 Tempo wanted to take a closer look at 10 of history's greatest conquerors. These included rulers and warriors alike who secured massive empires through violent means, often leaving trails of destruction in their wake, and changing the world around them.

To compile a list of the 10 greatest conquerors of all time, 24/7 Tempo consulted a range of military and history sources including Military History Now and National Geographic. Next, we selected the conquerors with the widest range of influence and most memorable legacies. After that, we consulted sites like Biography and Britannica for specific biographical information.
