"Jeopardy!" is one of the most popular game shows in the world, entertaining people for decades with its unique format never seen before, where contestants have to answer clues in the form of a question. Originally started in 1964 with host Art Fleming, it had a brief hiatus before returning in 1984 to syndication with new host Alex Trebek. This unique format has introduced an interesting way of learning to our homes nightly.
Each episode features six categories and through the years there have been multiple categories in topics like world history, geography, drinks, U.S. Presidents, and more. But one of the categories long-favored by showrunners since returning is the military. A significant amount of clues have appeared about the U.S. military, ranging from military terminology, famous generals, and tactics to installations and wars.
To test your knowledge about the military with these real "Jeopardy!" clues, 24/7 Tempo went through J! Archives — a site created by fans of the show that lists clues dating back to 1984 — to identify some of the most interesting and challenging questions about the military.
