People are generally fans of something – be it fashion, sports, or history – but when it comes to the film industry, some of the most enthusiastic fans can be found immersing themselves in all things related to a particular movie or franchise. Nothing is more evident than in the Star Wars universe, which has been captivating audiences since the release of the first film on May 25, 1977, “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”.
In April, 2025 The Revenge of the Sith was re-released in theaters, driving $50 million in revenue on it's 20th anniversary. There are very few film franchises that can claim such a cultural force, 20 years after their launch.
Another cultural juggernaut that proceeds even Star Wars is Jeopardy! With the first episode airing on March 30th, 1964. That marks an incredible 61 year (and counting!) run for one of the most recognizable brands in TV today.
What happens when you combine one of the biggest brands in film with one of the biggest brands in TV? Magic.
24/7 Tempo went through J! Archives, a site created by fans of the show that lists clues going back to 1984, and found more than 300 clues about words about the movie franchise. We narrowed them down to 25 that are more specifically about the movie plot, characters, and actors.
This post was updated on May 2nd to incorporate data from the re-release for The Revenge Of The Sith and Jeopardy's first episode
