Everyone has different optimal temperatures. Some might find the average summer climate of Alaska, with temperatures ranging from 40 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit, to be ideal while others might like the heat of Florida summers, with average temps hitting 82 degrees. Whatever you prefer, the United States is bound to have something for everyone, with a range of climates spread out across several regions. But if you don't like it too hot, or too cold, or maybe you aren't a fan of rain, perhaps you should check out these U.S. cities with ideal weather year-round.

Extreme weather has been hitting all areas of the U.S. and it seems as if most places experience all aspects of weather in recent years. From flooding and torrential downpours to blizzards, tornados, and hurricanes, many areas are hit with catastrophic events more often than others and the North East is currently in the midst of hurricane season (to prepare, try reading Hurricane Preparation Tips You Need to Know This Season.)

To determine U.S. cities with ideal weather year-round, 24/7 Tempo reviewed historical temperature data from the National Centers for Environmental Information of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Cities within the contiguous United States were ranked based on the average deviation from the ideal 66°F daily temperature in the spring, summer, fall, and winter months from 2019 to 2023.

The average spring temperature is the historical average for March, April, and May; the summer average temperature is the historical average for June, July, and August; the fall average temperature is the historical average for September, October, and November, and the average winter temperature is the historical average for December, January, and February.
