The 90s produced some of the funniest TV series with the wackiest and quirkiest characters. People love these characters for their unique and hilarious personalities and one-liners. 1. George Costanza ("Seinfeld")
"Seinfeld" is one of the most popular shows to come out of the 1990s. A character people can't help but love and laugh out loud at is George Costanza played by Jason Alexander. He's got some of the best quotes, including the goofy, "I'm Disturbed, I'm Depressed, I'm Inadequate – I've Got It All!"
2. Joey Tribbiani ("Friends")
The entire cast of "Friends" is bound to leave you hysterically laughing, but which is the best? That is a big debate, but for this slideshow, the title goes to Joey Tribbiani, the lovable dummy of the friend group. His facial expressions alone are enough to keep you laughing.
3. Rose Nylund ("The Golden Girls")
If you want to spend a night giggling, catch a few episodes of "The Golden Girls." One of the funniest characters in this hit 90s TV series is Rose Nylund played by Betty White. This character is especially known for her outrageous and almost unbelievable stories from her hometown of St. Olaf.
4. Homer Simpson ("The Simpsons")
Also on our list is Homer Simpson from "The Simpsons." How can we not mention this hilarious oaf? In nearly every episode, Homer is on a ridiculous misadventure.
5. Will Smith ("The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air")
A staple of the 1990s is "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air." Any 90s kid will remember this fun show. While like "Friends" there is a big debate on who is the funniest, Will Smith is a big contender. His character is naturally hilarious, with facial expressions that often speak for themselves.
6. Fran Fine ("The Nanny")
Another staple of the 1990s is "The Nanny." Who doesn't love listening to Fran Fine talk? Or watch her in her misadventures while dressed in the most fashionable pieces seen on television? Her one-liners and delivery earned her a spot on this list.
7. Steve Urkel ("Family Matters")
Steve Urkel is super funny. He's a character in the 90s TV series, "Family Matters." In this series, Jaleel White plays a nerdy kid who means well but constantly messes things up. Still, he's too sweet to hate.
8. Kimmy Gibbler ("Full House")
"Full House" also had its share of funny characters. Kimmy Gibbler is one of them. She's the adorable and sweet best friend of D.J. Tanner, who is always hanging around at Tanner's home.
9. Eric Matthews ("Boy Meets World")
Last but not least is Eric Matthews from "Boy Meets World." He is the older brother of Cory Matthews, known for his long hair and his hilariously timed one-liners. Later on in the series, his antics are crazier, making him hard to forget.
