25 of the World’s Biggest Beer Companies, Ranked

Beer is produced on an enormous scale around the world, but a surprisingly small group of brewing companies accounts for much of it. China remained the world’s largest beer-producing country in 2025 at about 353.6 million hectoliters, followed by the United States at 174.9 million, Brazil at 151.1 million, and Mexico at 147.9 million.

For the latest look at the industry, 24/7 Tempo reviewed the 2025 rankings from BarthHaas, a major global supplier of hops and brewing-industry research. The world’s 40 largest brewing groups sold about 1.59 billion hectoliters of beer in 2025, down 3.1% from the previous year. The companies below are the 25 brewers included in the original version of this slideshow, reordered according to their latest global rankings and updated with 2025 production figures. Because several companies have entered or moved into the global top 25 since the original list was assembled, some rank numbers are skipped.
