Finding the right hotel can be a lot of work and may have you paying more than you expected. The most expensive hotels in Alabama may seem quite pricey, but their luxurious accommodations and lovely amenities may make the cost well worth it.

There are a few important details to remember before booking a hotel. The first is that prices are subject to change. The costs below reflect the prices given while researching hotels for two adults over a night stay. However, there are ways to receive deals on luxury hotels such as:

  • Booking far in advance
  • Booking your stay during off-season months like January
  • Checking the hotel website before booking through a third-party
  • Signing up to receive hotel promotions

The second thing to remember is that each hotel's prices vary from state to state. Hotels in New York and California tend to be far more expensive than those in Missouri or Indiana.

One factor that determines the price of a hotel is the state's cost of living. For example, the cost of living in Alabama ranks number 48 out of 50, making it one of the states with the lowest cost of living in the United States.

The index comes in at 88.1. The cost of living index takes the average cost of living, 100, and rates the states based on this 100-point scale. This means that Alabama has a cost of living index of 12.9 points lower than the national average. Based on the cost of living index, the most expensive hotels in Alabama may still be affordable for many.
