The Pioneer Woman Boarding House — Pawhuska
The Pioneer Woman Boarding House offers “cowboy luxury” in downtown Pawhuska, about an hour northwest of Tulsa. Designed by Ree (aka “The Pioneer Woman”) and Ladd Drummond, the eight-room Boarding House is a renovated building constructed in 1920. Each room is unique and goes by a different name, such as The Emerald Room and The Butterfly Room. Amenities include personalized coffee delivered straight to your door each morning, turndown service (with chocolate on your pillow!), a complimentary wine and beer happy hour, and private balconies.
The Boarding House is in The Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile building, which once housed a J.C. Penney. Now, aside from the hotel, you’ll find a restaurant (food can be delivered to your room) and a store featuring The Pioneer Woman’s rustic merchandise.
Shangri-La Resort — Monkey Island
The Shangri-La Resort is a waterside getaway in Afton on Monkey Island on the Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees, Oklahoma’s largest recreation lake.
