9 TV Villains Who Deserve Their Own Spinoff Show
Villains can be some of the most fascinating characters on television — sometimes even more compelling than the heroes themselves. While the good guys almost always win, it’s hard not to imagine how things might look if the villains took control for once.
Surprisingly, few TV series actually put villains in the spotlight. Beyond hits like Hannibal, there aren’t many shows that explore their stories in depth.
For this slideshow, we turned to entertainment publications and fan discussions on Reddit to uncover which TV villains viewers most want to see take center stage. The result: nine unforgettable antagonists who deserve shows of their own — from pure evil masterminds to complex characters who found redemption along the way.
The Reverse Flash
- TV Show: "The Flash" (2014 - 2023)
- Actor: Tom Cavanagh and Matt Letscher
Reverse Flash was a super interesting villain. He was evil, clever, and also petty, doing things that felt unnecessary. Although he remains a villain in the series, it'd be amazing to see a show all about this character. The show writers would have lots to pull from, considering he's a popular comic book character.
The Riddler
- TV Show: "Batman" (1966 - 1968)
- Actor: John Astin
The Riddler does not get enough love. This hilarious villain loves riddles and questions and wears a bright green costume to hide his identity. If he got a show, it could be a drama or a comedy (although a comedy would be fantastic!).
Spike
- TV Show: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997 - 2003)
- Actor: James Marsters
Technically, Spike wasn't a full villain. He might have begun that way, but he received his redemption in the end. Still, it would be fun to see a show all about this blonde and intense vampire, especially about his life long before Buffy.
Benjamin Linus
- TV Show: "Lost" (2006 - 2010)
- Actor: Michael Emerson
It's unlikely we will ever get a spin-off show about Ben Linus, but we can dream. This villain ended as an anti-hero but did a lot of villainous things in seasons 2 and 3.
Skyler White
- TV Show: "Breaking Bad" (2008 - 2013)
- Actor: Anna Gunn
Honestly, while Skyler White was painted as a villain for getting in the way of Walter - she had a point. It was a dangerous occupation, and she was in the dark for so long. It would be interesting to see her life after the end of the series.
The Joker
- TV Show: "The Adventures of Batman" (1968 - 1969)
- Actor: Larry Storch
Although we only listed one series, the Joker has been in multiple TV shows. However, he's never been the center of one - only movies.
Alice Morgan
- TV Show: "Luther" (2010 - 2019)
- Actor: Ruth Wilson
Alice Morgan is a complex character in "Luther." She's beautiful, brilliant, and determined. While she becomes more like an anti-hero in the later seasons, based on her past actions, she's still a villain.
Wilson Fisk
- TV Show: "Daredevil" (2015 - 2018)
- Actor: Vincent D'Onofrio
Wilson Fisk is a villain, but that doesn't mean he's entirely evil. Fisk is a confusing character with a big heart.
Count Olaf
- TV Show: "A Series of Unfortunate Events" (2017 - 2019)
- Actor: Neil Patrick Harris
Count Olaf from "A Series of Unfortunate Events" deserves his own show. This wacky, evil character gets into the strangest of shenanigans all for a con.
