Luxury Towns Where You Can Still Afford a Home

You may hear the word “luxury” and instantly think it’s unaffordable. And most of the time, that’s a fair assumption. But sometimes, there are diamonds in the rough that surprise you … affordable little finds just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. Such is the case with this list of luxury towns that still have affordable homes available for purchase. So if you’re looking to up your game in terms of where you live but your wallet may not have the same sentiment, you’re in the right place. Below is a list of 25 cities in the United States that are considered “luxury towns” but that still have housing that is considered affordable.

To determine the luxury towns where you can still afford a home, 24/7 Tempo reviewed five-year data on median household value and median household income from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2022 American Community Survey. Cities, towns, and Census-designated places where the median home value is $1,000,000 or greater were ranked based on the percentage of owner-occupied housing units valued at less than $250,000. Only cities with at least 1,000 residents were considered.
