Hip-hop is a truly unique American art form that has dominated the musical charts since it began, redefining pop culture in the process. However, as the genre grew through its various phases, while many outstanding songs emerged, for one reason or another, the artists failed to secure a lasting place in the public's memory.

What are the stand-out songs from these artists despite them becoming one-hit wonders in the end?

To determine these songs, 24/7 Tempo reviewed data on historical song performance on the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. Only artists with two or fewer Top 40 hits that have sold no more than 5 million RIAA album units in the United States were considered. Let's dive into these hits!
