Josh Johnson has become one of the biggest names in comedy, for good reason. And lucky for us, we can consume his content in a variety of ways. He hasn’t limited himself to a couple of stand-up specials. Josh is a busy man. He releases new material on a weekly basis, regularly hosts a television show, cohosts a podcast, goes on nationwide tours, and somehow always seems calm and collected. With plenty of Josh Johnson content to choose from, we’re certainly not complaining. Whether you want a full comedy special or just a short clip to brighten your Monday, here are eight ways to get your JJ fix.
1. Watch His Weekly Stand-Up on YouTube

YouTube might be the best place to start. Johnson has built a huge following due in large part to his weekly flow of fresh stand-up material, which he posts online every Tuesday. Instead of saving everything for his tours, he does super current stand-up every seven days. He can take a viral video or a political event and turn it into a long, funny story that feels more like talking to a hilarious friend than watching a traditional stand-up routine. His weekly release schedule is one of the many things that distinguishes him from other comics.
2. Listen to The Josh Johnson Show

If you can’t get enough Josh Johnson through his standup, we hope you’ve discovered his podcast. The Josh Johnson Show features Johnson mostly riffing with fellow comedian and longtime buddy Logan Nielsen. Their conversations about life, relationships, and all kinds of weird topics range from entertaining to pee-your-pants funny. Whether it’s remembering bad hotel stays, chatting about pet care, or a particularly hysterical back-and-forth about bad product ideas, the show is consistently excellent. If you have a road trip on the horizon, turn to Josh and Logan to keep you company.
3. Watch Josh Johnson: Symphony

For the more traditional stand-up-special experience, there’s Josh Johnson: Symphony. Released on HBO just this year (2026), the hour gives Johnson more time to tell longer, more personal stories. He goes deep in this one, getting into family, relationships, loneliness, faith, and other parts of his life while still keeping the laughs flowing.
4. Catch Him on The Daily Show

Johnson spent years writing for The Daily Show before becoming a correspondent and now one of its rotating hosts. It’s a good fit for his comedy because he’s so good at finding and logically presenting the ridiculous part of a news story. As a correspondent, he can pop up for a few minutes and steal a segment. When he’s behind the desk, he gets to really shine in all his Josh Johnson glory. His reactions on The Daily Show are incredibly fun to watch.
5. Dig Into His Older Specials and Albums

Johnson has been putting out comedy for years, way before he blew up in popularity and appeared in everyone’s social media feeds. His earlier work includes the Comedy Central special #(Hashtag) as well as comedy albums and projects like Elusive, which mixes stand-up with music. You should also watch Up Here Killing Myself, his 2023 Peacock special. Going backward through his work is cool because you can see his style develop over time (as well as various hairdos). His raw talent for storytelling was always there, but he really settled into himself over the years, becoming super comfortable on stage.
6. Find His Podcast Appearances

Johnson doesn’t limit himself to his own podcast. Like we said, this guy is busy! He has appeared on plenty of other podcasts through the years, and he seems to be making even more of these appearances lately. These conversations can be completely different depending on the host, giving us a glimpse into different aspects of Josh’s life. Some focus on his approach to comedy and how he writes jokes. Others get into his relationships, politics, or his childhood growing up in central Louisiana. He recently appeared on Seth Meyers’ podcast Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers, in which guests recount their most memorable childhood family vacations. Podcasts are a solid choice if you’ve already burned through Josh Johnson’s stand-up.
7. Follow Him on Social Media

Josh is highly active on his socials, posting new content several times a week. This is a way to consume his comedy in much smaller doses, and it’s a great place to get little bits of Josh Johnson throughout the day. It’s also a fantastic way to stay up to date on his upcoming projects. And if you train that algorithm enough, Josh Johnson can be taking over your feed in no time.
8. See Him Live

Of course, the best way to consume stand-up comedy is in live form. There’s nothing like seeing Josh Johnson in person, cracking up alongside a crowd of fellow fans. Lucky for us, Johnson tours extensively. Somehow between podcasting, hosting a hit TV show, and continually writing new content, Josh has time to be on the road. As you’ve likely noticed, Josh is super observant and aware, which makes him incredibly in tune with his audience. So it all feels different when you’re sitting in the room with him. His current tour, Josh Johnson’s Comedy Band Camp, has dates scheduled across the U.S. and Canada well into 2027. Get ’em while they’re hot!
