Many of us become invested in television shows. We grow to love the characters, the settings, the plotlines, and the drama, and we look forward to losing ourselves for however brief a moment each week as we delve into the fictional worlds of our favorite programs. Even though we understand this is purely fiction, we root for them to win, although just as in life, sometimes things just don't end up the way we want them to.
