The Golden Age of Rock: Baby Boomers' Enduring Musical Legacy

Some performers have one hit and then disappear from the music scene. Others, however, are amazingly long enduring. There are quite a few artists who had their first hit while they were in their 20s, only to still make music that resonates with all audiences 30 to 40 years later. Here we also do not just have a few select artists, but rather artists from all genres. A few examples would be country (Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson), heavy metal (Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden), singer-songwriter folk-rock (Van Morrison, Neil Young), easy listening (Barry Manilow), and many more.

What do all these musicians have in common? The ability to adapt and grow — and to last.
