For many dog owners, the bond they have with their pets is extraordinary. For them, having a dog is often like having a child, and is a feeling that is often only understood by other pet parents. When it comes to their health, we want nothing but the best for them and that includes what they eat. It can be confusing enough knowing what to feed ourselves sometimes but when it comes to our pets, the choices can be even more overwhelming.

Everyone generally has an opinion on what they feel is the best food for their dog but just like humans, dogs should be fed all-natural meals, with little to no processed ingredients. But just because you eat something healthy for you, doesn't mean that it's good for your dog. To make sure dogs live long, happy, and healthy lives, owners need to be educated on what they can and can't feed their pups. Knowing that whatever you're feeding them won't accidentally kill them is more cardinal than anything else.

To gather this list of human foods that are safe for dogs, 24/7 Tempo consulted several animal-centered and health-centered sources. These include the American Kennel Club, Better Vet, and Daily Paws. While we're on the topic of dogs, click here for 10 things you didn't know your pup could do.
