The Fiercest Competitors In the 2025 Tour de France

Cycling lovers from all over the world are excitedly watching as professional cyclists compete in the legendary Tour de France. This annual men’s bicycle race is one of the largest of its time – and oldest. The first edition of this race was held on July 1, 1903, well over 100 years ago.

It’s been held since, except for a few years, during both World War I and World War II. The first winner of the race was Maurice Garin, an Italian-French racer. Apart from 2025, the most recent winner of the Tour de France was Tadej Pogačar, who is racing again in 2025.

So, who is involved in the 2025 Tour de France? Where is it being held? The 2025 Tour de France runs from July 5 – 27 and covers 2,075 miles. It’s a large race with 23 teams participating and hundreds of cyclists. The race will consist of 21 stages ranging in terrain (mountainous, hilly, and flat).

Do you have any guesses on who will win this year? Or come close? Click through the slideshow for the fiercest competitors in the 2025 Tour de France to keep an eye on.
