Many things in life often seem easy, especially when viewed on TV. We see chefs whip up dishes in mere minutes on food-related shows, athletes make certain sports look effortless, and even people delivering speeches do so with ease. This can give us a false sense of how difficult something can be, and for many of us, that manifests in the kitchen. Which can lead to top kitchen mistakes that can ruin our meals.

We've all seen TV cooking shows, and they always appear simple and uncomplicated, but what looks easy on television isn't always easy in real life. Cooking can be rather challenging, especially when preparing a dish from scratch. Baking can be even more difficult, with exact measurements a necessity. But just as with all things in life, the only way to master something is with practice, or in the case of food, preparation.
