Certain milestones in music indicate you've officially become a success. Hearing your songs played on radio stations is always a key factor but one of the top markers is chart placement. When an artist's songs begin to not only make it onto the charts but begin to see their song climb up the charts, it's safe to say they've officially hit the big time. Some artists have done this not just once or twice, but multiple times. Meet the musician behind an unbelievable 78 top 10 hits.
But these artists haven't reached just any charts. They've made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, one of the most widely recognized and authoritative music charts in the world. Since its inception in 1958, the Billboard Hot 100 has been considered the gold standard for tracking the success of a song. Released every week, it provides a snapshot of that week's most popular and successful songs based on factors including promotion, radio play, and streaming trends.
There's no denying that these artists are superstars, but this doesn't mean to qualify as a successful pop superstar you need to have a Billboard hit. Check out these popular artists that never had a Billboard Number One Hit.
Methodology:
To determine the musician behind an unbelievable 78 top 10 hits, 24/7 Tempo reviewed data on historical chart performance from the Billboard Hot 100. Artists were ranked based on the total number of entries into the top 10 of the Hot 100 throughout their careers. Chart data is current through June 8, 2024.
