Ranking the World’s Most Punctual and Reliable Airlines and Airports
In an era where delays can ruin entire trips, the punctuality of an airline has become one of the most important factors in choosing who you fly with. Reliable scheduling is the best way to build trust with passengers and often sets carriers apart in an increasingly competitive industry. But are you aware of how punctual airlines are found and ranked so you can maximize your purchasing power?
Each year, OAG Aviation Worldwide’s Punctuality League compiles one of the most thorough assessments of on-time performance (OTP) for both airlines and airports. Flights that depart or arrive within 15 minutes of schedule are considered “on time,” and this standard is applied across thousands of flights worldwide. Using these statistics, 24/7 Tempo identified the airlines and hubs that consistently deliver smooth, timely operations.
We reviewed annual OTP rankings and supporting data from OAG Aviation Worldwide’s Punctuality League, along with supplemental information from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Here is everything you need to know about on-time airline and airport performance across the globe.
