History’s Most Daring Female Secret Agents

Spies have always been a vital component to the success of many military missions and private investigations. They serve as an essential means of gathering intelligence and information on the enemy to ensure national security. They have been instrumental in changing the tide in favor of (or against) their country.

To assemble a list of iconic female spies who defined courage and shaped history, 24/7 Tempo consulted sources including The International Spy Museum, The History Press, Britannica, Intell.gov, and various articles on the subject published by the CIA. Note that several operated for the UK's Special Operations Executive against the Nazis in WWII-occupied France.
