Since sandwiches should be celebrated year-round, 24/7 Tempo has compiled a list of the best sandwiches in every state and where to find them. Many sandwiches reflect a region's ethnic culinary traditions, while others are influenced by local hunting, farming, or fishing practices.

Regardless of what your sandwich tastes are, this list will no doubt have something that will satisfy your palate. This list has also been updated as of May 6th, 2025 to reflect latest popular sandwich findings.

Here is the best sandwich in every state and where to find it.

• Location: Decatur

The hallmark of Alabama-style barbecue is its white barbecue sauce, a tangy blend of mayonnaise, vinegar, and black pepper. Big Bob's serves up an amazing sandwich with white sauce and smoked chicken.

• Location: Anchorage

You probably won't find this sandwich in many places, but if you're in Alaska, you might want to indulge in a local favorite – the reindeer dog.
