Every four years the world brings its most talented athletes together to compete for the top three spots on the Olympic podium. The beauty of the Olympic Games is that it celebrates the dedicated athletes who work so hard to be the best at their sport. Viewers at home get the opportunity to witness the competitive spirit and sportsmanship that makes the Games so special.

Some of the athletes compete on teams and get to experience that camaraderie and team spirit throughout training and competitions. Others compete solo for their time to shine, and some are lucky enough to have a family that understands the hard work and determination it takes to be an Olympic athlete. Sharing a passion for sports and a competitive drive may or may not be genetic but you can't deny the incredible family dynasties that have dominated the Olympics.

Throughout the history of the Olympic Games, many families have dominated their sport. In some cases, parents led the way winning medals and watching their children follow in their footsteps. In other cases, it's siblings working together as a team or competing against each other. But in all the cases, these families are an inspiration to athletes everywhere.
