Whether you live in Jacksonville or are just passing through, you probably equate the city with warm weather, sunny beaches, and maybe even the Jaguars football team. Jacksonville, however, is quite underrated when it comes to its food scene. The city is even known as "Florida's Shrimp Capital."

Florida does have a Michelin Guide. Some of the best restaurants in Florida were honored in 2022 when the Michelin Guide came to the Sunshine State. However, only three cities have Michelin Star restaurants: Tampa, Orlando, and Miami.

Jacksonville's lack of Michelin Star restaurants doesn't mean there aren't any dining spots worth visiting. Earning a Michelin Star is incredibly difficult, and the Michelin Guide is relatively new to Florida. With this in mind, it wouldn't be a surprise if any of these five restaurants in Jacksonville one day earned a Michelin Star.
