One thing is for sure, though. No matter what you’re looking for or if you’re just wanting to browse, the thrift stores in Orange County will meet your needs.

We scoured Yelp and Google to find the Orange County thrift stores that shoppers like best, and we aimed to keep it more local, so you will only find one or two chain stores on this list. The rest are more curated, whether it be designer goods or vintage finds, and some give directly back to the community, so it’s a win-win.

Here are the best thrift stores in Orange County. Happy shopping! (If you frequently shop online, here are 10 things you shouldn’t buy online.)

McFly’s Thrift Store is certainly one of a kind. Stepping into this gem of a store is like stepping into a museum devoted to the 1980s and ’90s.

While the store sells vintage clothing, you’ll probably spend more time checking out all the vintage wares and posters scattered all over the store. We recommend you go in person but if you can’t, check out their online thrifts.

Goodwill Boutiques — Various locations

We’d be remiss to not include OC Goodwill Boutiques on this list since there are so many of them around. Goodwill’s boutiques are different from their main thrift stores in that the selection is carefully curated and higher in quality and price. The mission is the same though, with proceeds benefitting Goodwill Industries.

To name just a couple, check out OC Goodwill Boutique Huntington Beach, 18631 Beach Blvd., in Huntington Beach, OC Goodwill Boutique Tustin at 502 E 1st St., in Tustin, and RARE by Goodwill in Anaheim at 411 W Broadway C-H. (Before you head out, think twice before buying these 15 items used.)
