Films can often have a significant impact on our lives. From the time we are young, we can be influenced by all aspects of a film, whether it's the production, editing, and directing or acting and screenwriting, it can affect which direction we choose to take in life. Even the characters' viewpoints can be influential, not only in how we view ourselves but how we might view each other and the world. However, not all movie experiences have a positive influence.

The Hollywood film industry has long been exalted as glamorous, however, in recent years the darker side of the business has come to light. The smiling faces, talk of camaraderie, and dazzling lights seen on-screen were not always what they seemed to be or what we were led to believe. Even the subject matter that a movie once injected into a script is seen as taboo; what once was seen as a delightful portrayal of people united or connecting romantically is now revealed to be quite the opposite.

The Hollywood of today is vastly different than that of prior years; films now employ intimacy coordinators advocating for actors during scenes that in previous years led to abuse. With the changes implemented on movie sets, many of these earlier movies wouldn't meet the industry standard, whether the subject matter halted production or the well-being of the actors did. Regardless, these are the beloved films of yesteryear that wouldn't be made now. (Don't forget to check out Old TV Shows That Would Never Be Made Today.)
