Tasty Seafood Recipes Ready in Under 30 Minutes

When it comes to certain dishes, there are some that people enjoy making at home and others that just seem too complicated. Seafood falls into the latter category. Many seafood items, whether it's shellfish like shrimp or scallops, or ray-finned fish like salmon, come across as intimidating for many reasons, but the top reason is fear of overcooking. But like many dishes – both fish and non-fish – any dish can be prepared easily if following a recipe that helps guide you.

Many of these seafood items are good sources of protein and have a healthy dose of Omega-3 fatty acids. The first step is understanding how to buy quality fish and seafood. Of course, fresh seafood is best, so be sure to ask your local fishmonger what is fresh or get their recommendations. Fresh fish and seafood are best used the same day the same day because they go bad quickly. (Like many food items, it's best to follow the advice of the American Heart Association and stick to only two servings a week.)

If fresh seafood isn't available, or market prices are a bit too expensive, frozen seafood is a great alternative. Most supermarkets have a selection of frozen scallops, clams, oysters, fish, and shrimp. If you're ready to attempt preparing your own seafood meals, then check out this list of tasty seafood recipes ready in under 30 minutes. These are all easy recipes that are good for those who love seafood but never thought they could make it at home.
