Baby Boomers’ Favorite Holidays and Events

Everyone loves a fun event or holiday. It’s a chance to unwind and celebrate the things that are so important to us as Americans. If you start to look into the various holidays and famous events worldwide, you’ll find that there are hundreds of them, and many of them mean a lot to different people in different age groups. For baby boomers born from 1946 to 1954, certain holidays rank higher on the list than others. To summarize those thoughts, we have a list of baby boomers’ favorite holidays and events.

To create this list of the baby boomers’ favorite holidays, 24/7 Tempo consulted data provided by the website YouGov. They spoke to adults born during the baby boomer years and asked if they had a favorable opinion of the many special dates. The list we present for you here is based on the popularity of the big events and holidays.

You’ll likely notice a variety of occasions on this list that baby boomers hold near and dear. Of course, there are many major holidays, including Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day. There are also major sporting events that many consider to be the next best thing to holidays, including the Indy 500, the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics, and the entirety of the NFL season. This list also has many big days that you may not have considered, including the Sundance and Cannes film festivals.
