These Are Baby Boomers’ Favorite Football Players

In the United States, there aren't any sports more popular than football. In fact, if you look at the most-watched events of the year, most are football games. The Super Bowl routinely pulls in more than 100 million eyeballs per year. There are countless reasons why people in the United States are addicted to football. One of those reasons is the lack of games played. The NBA and NHL play 82 regular season games every year. Major League Baseball plays a whopping 162.

However, the NFL only plays 17 regular season games, which means fans don't have as many opportunities to watch their favorite players and teams take the field. Given how violent football is as a sport, it makes sense that there are so few games. There's talk among NFL executives about adding one regular season game per year. That way, Super Bowl Sunday falls the day before Presidents' Day. The following day would be a holiday, which numerous people in the United States have wanted for years.

There are countless famous players in the NFL. Arguably the two biggest names in football are Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Some fans have already anointed Mahomes as the greatest quarterback they've ever seen. His playmaking ability is second to none in league history. Kelce, on the other hand, was already a famous tight end in the NFL, before starting a relationship with international superstar Taylor Swift.
