Chef Tyson Cole’s original Uchi in Austin spawned the offshoot Uchiko there and an Uchi in Houston, and this outpost opened in the Dallas Arts District in 2015. The fare is Japanese, often through a contemporary American filter, with fresh seafood flown in daily from Japan. Sushi and sashimi are joined by such creations as thin-sliced flounder with candied quinoa and ocean trout with coconut milk, grapes, and fennel.
